Hello everyone, im training for the pistol squat for a couple of weeks, abd I would like to hear if you guys have some tips that can help with the balance and the pistol squat in general, thanks💪😃
Hi bro, I've heard that holding an object like a ball or a small weight while doing pistol squats will help you maintain your equilibrium and balance. Just remember to hold the object with your arms straight and facing forward. When i first started training pistol squats I used to do them assited by holding one hand near a wall or a bench and that helped me a lot to gain strength and increase my reps.
good tips!
Yup pretty much what Alteo said. Also just stand on one leg on the bottom position of the pistol squats, do it on both, helps a lot to learn the balance but it requires flexibility, and you can also hold your other leg to help balance, like if you're doing it on the left leg, hold your right leg with your arms, you place your body in a position that it sort of balances it itself.
