Hey,
I thougth building a thread about or long term goals for 2017 would be a good idea. Maybe it is for some people an extra motivational boost or you see other people goals and think, yeah thats it, i want to achieve this aswell.
I just start with my goals.
Frog Stand/ Crow Pose:
I really want to develope my arm balancing skills and the crow pose is a really good exericse for that! It trains really good your balance, you come in a flow and it also works for your wrists. It offers a lot of progressions, as a result the advanced frog stand (Straighted arms) focuses really on your shoulders. yeah all in all it is in my opinion a good exercise and my long term goal is pushing myself out of the frog stand into a handstand. which brings me to my next point.
Handstand:
It is a skill/move, i really want to achieve this year. I can hold it for lets say 5 secs free but i definitely need to work more on it. At the moment i train 3x60secs chest to wall handstand. At first i thought that 3x60sec would be no problem but i try it out yourself. the last set was really hard for me.
Yeah, as you can see my goals are not about making new gains or bulking up. of course i want gain more muscle mass and get stronger, yeah definitely, and i am pretty sure that i will be but yeah, focusing on "skill training", this two exercises are my priority.
How i am going to achieve them?
I do train the frogstand/crowpose progression and handstand progressions before every workout :-)
What is about you? Looking forward to hear your goals:-)
