So ive been looking at this program and at chris's videos and he said that this program is for anyone at any level, now that is a lie, because when I started this program, I couldnt do a single push up, apu, or negative pull ups, but its not just about me, there are guys that are either very weak or very old that realy want to start working out but everyone thinks that if they could do 5 pull ups when they started then everyone else can to, but thats wrong, there are some guys (or girls) that cant squat, push up, or even do a full plank. So chris, stand behind your word, make this workout program for literally everyone. Make a level for the absolute begginer.
When I say everyone, it implies people that can't do the basics yet (pull ups, dips etc.) - aka. newbeginners like you described yourself.
I'm not counting in letsa say people with a handicap, or extremely overweight people or some rare examples of very weak newbeginners - I mean that it is for everyone in general. I think it's fair to say that :)

I just made a suggestion, I wonder what the other guys here think about that idea, after all it will only make this workout program better.
I believe it is for everyone. If you're extremely overweight you shouldn't even be starting with calisthenics, you should be focusing on losing some fat first before beginning your calisthenics journey. Handicapped is out of the question lol. I couldn't pull up but I got from the program, couldn't dip but I got it from the program. Besides, there's always space for modification, instead of doing push ups do them on the knees or against a wall, and if you can't do that then I don't know what the heck is wrong. You can do partial range of motion (half ROM) of squats, everyone should be able to do that. Crunches and other simple ab exercises will eventually get you to a full plank, which is still a challenging exercise for a lot of people, who of course make a harder variation. I really haven't met a person who can't do a few push ups, honestly.. And if so, the person can still do them easier. There was a guy who couldn't do level 1 because of the push ups and I told him to do his best on doing push ups and then finish on the knees, so I don't see the need to make a level 0, although it is a cool perspective. That's just my opinion :).
I agree with you that 99% of the guys in the world can complete lv1 but what about weak girls or old people that dont have money to go to the gym??
They should be able to do easier progressions.. Like incline push ups or something. Well it depends on the exercise, you do have a point there bro.
i changed the program for my wife to have a lot more and easier levels at the start. why not switching between the first 4 levels and exchanging the hard excercises to easier progressions. and once you get to the point, where you can do the proper excercises you start at the original level 1.
when my wife started out, she could do 0 pullups and 0 dips. after a month she can do 2 pullups, 3 chinups, 3 dips and pushups with very clean form. easier progressions always help to progress :)
But its not the buyers job to think about easier progressions (like you did with your wife), this is the hole concept of a workout program, you dont have to think about a workout, its allready there for you.

but you can keep the concept and even the reps and sets. just switch to easier progressions.
Most people that are new to calisthenics and working out in general are not familiar with allot of exercises, and also if youre a begginer you would think that you shouldnt be doing any changes to the program, so you would we be stack.
And its not like making one more level is that hard, not that im disrespecting but its a small afort from Chris that can help alot of other people that have a hard time find a workout
The program is really great just as it is. The rare cases have other solutions besides a level 0. It's not worth Chris's time to do so if all it takes is a little creativity out of the rare case person. That's my position in this matter.
