Okay. So. I am 15 years old I am a little small and I am trying to get my abs to show more (they look pretty good but i want them to be more shredded) but I am trying to gain muscle and weight I have a lot of progress now , but I am wondering if I start running I may loose a lot of gains?? Should I stay in my body fat % that is around 9 or 10??
if you want to get shredded you need to cut and drop weight ,if u want to get bigger you need do be in calorie surplus. Its your choice to get shredded abs or get bigger.
i wouldn't go to low with your body fat percentage if you are that young.
your body needs enough macros for your overall body development.
eat enough and healthy, train 3-4 times a week and maybe add one cardio sessions. that will give u a shredded look, if u want to do more for your abdominals try dragon flies and windshield wipers, because they are most effective in my opinion.
but please don't go lower with your body fat. this would mean cutting calories and this would not just limit your muscle growth but also your overall body development which is a bad idea at your age. there is enough time to go lower with your body fat percentage when you are full grown, but in your adolescence your body needs enough energy to ensure the growth of your body etc..
How old are you Bro? I think right Now you need to focos on rating clean and eating healthy complex carbs(potato, brown rice, whole wheat grain food) for muscle gains. You can focus on losing fat later.
