Hi guys
I'm 33 years old. I have a home, a wife with a full time job, a 4 month old child and a full time job of at least 40 hours with mostly nightshifts. Pretty busy life. I have a little bitt of experience with callisthenics. I tried level one and thats a good place to start for me.
I'm curious if here are more people around the same age as mine. I want to know what is your experience with training, developing muscles and planning it in a busy life.
If you stick to the program. How many hours are you training?
I wished I have knowned this schedule when I was a teenager. Is it is the best time to start and creatie a good base!
Hi Jeroen,
Sorry I didn't see your message earlier. I was wondering if there was anyone my age on here as well. I'm 31 and just started the program about 2.5 months ago. I have 2 kids and 40 hour a week job (but its a day job). My wife stays home with the kids, so I'm probably not as busy as you are.
I was worried about being too old for this program, but I'm convinced thats just an excuse. I'm having really good results so far and feel great about the progress I've made. I started at level 1 and am working on level 5 now and planning to go to 6 sometime this week when I figure out when and where to do the muscle up negatives. I've always been really skinny, worse than Christian's "before" pic. So far I've gone from 130 lbs. to 145 lbs. (thats 59 kg to 65.75 for you guys in Denmark) the most I've ever weighed. I've really focused on eating bigger portions and 2-3 good sized snacks every day as well.
I work out first thing in the morning at 5 am. The only way this would work for me is to do it while my family is sleeping. It takes me about 1.5 to 1.75 hours. I'm going to start trying to cut down the rest times between sets because it looks like the workouts could start taking longer.
Go for it! I'm sure you won't regret it! It feels really good to progress in these exercises and do things that you physically couldn't do before! Thank you Christian for putting this program together, its been the perfect exercise program for me at this time in my life.
