Hi All -
After having my kids (6 years ago) I stopped any type of exercise and found any excuse to avoid it. I've always been skinny and thought that was the key to health.. I'm still a tall thin 65kg.
I have been keeping a close eye on Bar Brothers and on Friday last week subscribed and the next day I completed level 1 - maxed out most but when it came to the pushups my arms where fried so did some negative Pushups.
The next day every muscle was burning - its DOMS rather than an injury and I am now 2 days post workout and still very tender and feel weak... struggling to straighten my arms and to flex (putting sunglasses on is tough)
Q: Should I do level 1 again whilst still so sore or should I leave it another couple of days and do it again?
Hello reece! My name is Luqman. I suggest that you may want to rest at least 48hrs( 2days) - 72hours(3days) because it is scientifically proven. during your rest days , you might need to do some flexibility training :) to strectch the sore muscles out. Drink plenty of water. And i suggest push forward, You body only gains when you push them and have enough rest ( 48hours - 72hours) 2-3days of rest depending on your body
First of all - good choice on starting to workout again! In the beginning you will feel very sore since your body is not used to work out. The soreness will slowly go away after each workout. It's rare that i am really sore anymore, and when i am its so little i almost can't feel it. Definitely do the rest days described in the workout program so you don't get any injuries. Keep it going, youre doing it right!

Hey Reece, you should definitely do what Chris and Luqman said. It's not uncommon to feel sore, it usually happens a lot in the beginning. But don't worry my brother!!! Listen to your body and train hard!!! BE THE BEST YOU CAN BE!!! BarBrothers ALL DAY EVERYDAY!!! Salute!!!
