Chris can you do a video about pyramid training?Because i didnt understant how it works.
As far as I know, it's pretty simple, if we take push-ups, you just do 1, small break, 2, small break, 3 small break, 4, small break, 5, small break and then you go down again, 4, small break etc.
Of course you can start higher than 1 etc. but just as an example.
So for example if my pushups max is 40 i will start with 40 than 39 until zero? How many sets?
No, not at all xD Just try it out bro and get a feel for your self, try with f.eks. 8, start from 1 and then up to 8 and down again to get a feel for it. and there is not sets in pyramid workouts unless you feel like doing it 1 more time.
That would be insane going from 40 to 0, because it's not just doing 40 push ups, it's more like 800 push ups, beucase that way, you do 40 push ups, rest, then other (set) of 39, then rest, then other (set) of 38 and so on TILL you hit 0 if that makes more sense.. Dude think of it like counting, pick the highest number, for example as Patrick said 8. So it goes 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8, that's half of it, and then counting backwards 8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1, so you do 1 Pushup, have a little rest, 2 push ups, rest, 3 push ups, till you hit 8, and then back down to 1. It's called pyramid (triangle) because you essentially go from the lowest left (A) [1 rep] point, to the highest (B) point [8 reps, highest number], to the lowest right (C) [1 rep] point of a triangle or whatever xD
Actually, I thought I wanted to calculate it, for fun, it is exactly 1600 pushups, if you do a pyramid of 40 :D 820 push ups from 1-40 and 780 from 39 to 1.
Challenge accepted!
All calisthenics is good for muscle building and no dude, read the messages.. you go up and then you go down again and then yo u stop.
Ok thanks!
