Hey everyone!
So i train calisthenics since 10 or 11 months and i get great results. But i decide to begin with parkour. The problem is that i can only train on Saturday in a sport hall and when i workout with calisthenics like on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I think im too tired to train parkour on saturday. So does it makes sense when i train like on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday Parkour or is the break to big between Wednesday and Friday. Thanks for everyones help. Salute!
*I mean between Wednesday and Saturday
What's the benefit of doing parkour?
1. It's not good for you
2. It can cause serious injuries
3. It's not benefiting you
At least with calisthenics your being healthy by working out, gaining muscle, getting lean, getting in shape, and possibly eating healthy.
Nothing against you, but this answer is needless.. So it think you dont understand parkour. I don't do it like that i can do cool stuff and impress other people. I do it, because its fun.
*So i think
I disagree with it being needless. I'm trying to say that you shouldn't bother with "parkour". That's it.
Sure there will be a risk to hurt my self in parkour, but a risk is everywhere when you some new sport also calisthenics can be dangerous and you know that too, but nevertheless you started with calisthenics. So you can't argue with Parkour is dangerous and therefore i shouldn't start it, because Calisthenics is actually dangerous too and you can get too serious injuries. And why is it bad? No sport is bad, because they have all a Movement. So its sure better to do a sport than to sit on a couch allday eat chips and watching tv.
I'm not sure how I can seriously injury myself with Chris's program? Sure you can pull a muscle yet you can also injury yourself watching tv and choke on a chip if your going to take it this far... Parkour a sport? Cmon man lol, if anything it's a activity like walking
This is why parkour or "free running" is dangerous and non beneficial
I can see were Justin is coming from but I also do parkour with calisthenics. I usually take one day out of my workout every week and train parkour instead. So no i don't see a problem with that break
Thanks for this helpful answer. I'm looking forward to start parkour. So did you already get great results with parkour?
Yes I did and its super fun once you get into the more advanced things
So for how long have you been training for parkour?
Some parkour stunts are actually calisthenics exercises as well. When I train parkour some people think that I exaggerate on how safe I am. But that's actually the number one priority, better safe than sorry. Check out tappbrothers, they teach parkour in a safe yet awesome way.
Yeah i already know that channel thanks :) But i dont watch many videos on there. For me the channel urbanamadei is very good. He has very good tutorials and progressions. So i can learn the moves in a safe way, because he always shows in a tutorial a preliminary exercise to a move
