Hey All. Curious on peoples opinions on the Tigerbend Push up. I've watched the tutorial several times and i understand the position and it looks to be a massive Tricep workout but when i had a go at doing them this morning i felt very little pressure on my triceps but an absolute ridiculous amount in my core? As that position caused me to have my core flexed/tense throughout the whole duration???
Is that what it is supposed to target?
Cheers!
All calisthenics exercises involve more muscle (groups), but the tigerbend is as close as an isolation for the triceps as it can get, you should definitely feel it the most in your triceps, it does involve the core in order to just stand in the position but the movement of the exercise should hit your triceps.. Check your form, record yourself and see maybe your butt is too low or too up, or you're doing the easier variation where you have your arms more forward.. Good luck :)
when i do tigerbend with a 90 degree bend on my elbows, i dont feel a burn in my triceps until the 6th/7th rep, then the burn comes.
Maybe you have your hips too high up? Try to get someone to spot you! :) that might help
