So i've been doing calisthenics for about 1,5 years now, completed the system by offical bar brothers and currently on level 14 on chris program. I always got some blisters on my palms, that would hurt, but go away in some days, but i always did my workouts like this: monday - upper body, tuesday - legs and so on, so basically i trained on the bars on 2 days of the week, upperbody and core, but now that i have to train on the bar every second day, my palms are just full of blisters, like today i finished level 14 upperbody workout, and if i let myself hang on the bar, i would die of pain. I'm using special gym and bar gloves, that is helping but still, like i can't take that pain anymore. Today 3 blisters on my palm broke, and they are so red atm, i would take a pic but i can't.
I have very thin skin on my palms, what should i do? Everybody told me that my skin would grow stronger and thicker, but it hasn't, i really can't take that pain, if you've had blisters you know my pain.
Please answer :(
I used to have terrible blisters but once they broke like 2 or 3 times each, the skin grows thicker and thicker so dont worry, when I had them broken instead of hanging with a normal grip I put my wrist in like a fake grip and that way it wont hurt.
PD: now I just broke a blister in the middle of mi finger! Not in my palm hahaha good luck and salute!
Exactly. Your body just needs to adjust. The goal is to rip your skin open haha! Just kidding, but for real. Once I ripped my hands up on a regular basis, now it never happens anymore.
