i dont know how and when to rest between sets, for example i do pull ups, rest 120 secs, next exercise 100 secs ?
its too much i dont clearly understand how i should rest
Ya the workouts take 1.5 to 2 hrs
But i mean, after doing just 4 - 6 pull ups istn't it too much to rest 2 minutes ?
I used to do routines like (for example)
4 pulls ups
4 dips
4 squads
And after completing the exercises with no rest in between, then rest for two minutes for set number 2..
I hope you understand what im trying to say
Then do higher lvl. I could be wrong tho. Prob best would be wait for Gligor, Daniel, or Chris
What you have been doing is a superset if I'm not wrong (multiple exercises done with no rest between them, and then rest after you finish the set), which is the exact opposite in the workout program, you do 1 exercise for sets & reps then you move to number 2 exercise for sets & reps and so on.
No, you do not have to rest for 2 minutes, if you feel like you're ready to do the next set, just go do it. The rest time is just a recommended time, as Terminator said it's rest time between each set indeed. Maybe for the lower levels it's too much yes but trust me for the higher ones, it's too little so to say and becomes more of a challenge. As Terminator said once again do a higher level or just simply don't rest that much and see what's better for you.. :)
120 sec. rest is very normal!
I agree with both Gligor and Chris. Make sure your difficulty is the correct one bro, I bet you'll be asking for more rest time later. But for now, give it your best so you'll be ready when that time comes! If you feel like you don't need to rest that much, it's ok, move on; but learn to LISTEN to your body, it's guide. Keep it up and give every single workout 110%!!!
