Desperate to workout on rest days

So i have a little pullup bar in my room, just got it, today i'm doing leg and core, yesterday was upperbody, so today i was supposed to rest, but throughout the day i've already done about 50 chinups and just messing around, but i was supposed to rest, but i just can't help myself, i just need to go and do like 5 chinups, then i'll start feeling good :D
Any advice? Muscles need to rest so.. :(

I feel you bro, rest days suck but muscles need to rest, what i do is that if i wanna train on rest days i focus on other muscle groups other than upper body for example legs so i won't get tired ..or i just do some cardio like football and stuff ...

If doing those chin ups on your rest days interferes with your main workout the following day, I would advice you to stop it all together and just go hard on your workout days. Sometimes, doing pull ups regularly on different times of the day (20-60% max pull up) NOT ALL TOGETHER AT A TIME does work your neuromuscular efficiency thus increasing the efficiency of recruiting more muscle fibers during the pull up. Those pull ups MUST NOT FEEL TIRING OR EXHAUSTING OR TAXING.

All in all, if doing pull ups on your rest days prove counterproductive, I recommend you to drop it all together especially if you have a pull burnout set the day before.

Normally I'm SO done the day after a workout, like my whole body is just tired and sometimes sore in the muscles (doesn't happen that often when you are used to working out), so maybe you just need to burn out harder! Don't get me wrong - it's a very nice feeling though.
Resting on rest days is very important.

I'm really trying to get my first one arm chinup, so i've been focusing on that, i'm stuck on level 27, that's the level where one arm chinups come, so i've made myself a little plan for as long as i can do one arm chinups, it looks something like this
4 One arm negatives 4sets
7sec One arm holds 4sets
6 weighted chinups 6sets
6 weighted pullups 6sets
10 pullups 5 sets
Max out pullups, then pullup hold, then wide pullups, then pullup hold again.

20 pushups 5 sets
10 diamond pushups 5sets
10 clap pushups 5sets
10 tigerbend pushups 5sets
Max out pushups, pushup hold(like when you're down doing pushup, holding on that position), then knee pushups and then pushup hold again.
Is that okay for now? Or a little too easy? Cause when i started doing calisthenics i would get that feeling on muscles that i can't to anymore pullups, pushups, but now after i finish working out, after a hour i feel like i can do 10pullups noproblem again, maybe it's too easy program for me? Please tell your opinion

This is for upperbody, i have similar problem with core aswell, i can feel i have 8pack, but that's not visible, but i can feel it(no ego) :D
So i've been doing many many different hard abs exerices, at the end my abs are sore and little painful, but 1 hour later i feel normal again.

Sigmar696, I feel that too. It's usual that you're sore after a workout for a little but after some time feel great, but that doesn't mean the muscle is fully repaired. Doesn't matter for example if you're doing splits or full body, you should have a rest day (splits: specific muscle group, you don't do Pull day every day do you? or so on. full body: all muscle groups xD). Muscles grow at rest, with workouts you're just 'breaking' them down so they can grow stronger & bigger with proper NUTRITION & REST during the next 24-48 hours or so. Also I've read that GH (Growth Hormone- the hormone that stimulates growth/reproduction and repairing in cells hence muscle cells) levels are at the peak during sleep. Hopefully now you understand how important a rest day is. You can still throw in handstands or cardio or some easier exercises that don't overload your muscles, but other than that.. You really shouldn't. I know, it's frustrating you really want to go there and throw in 50 chin ups, well tbh sometimes I only do a few pull ups or so, so I can feel happy about it and not frustrate myself. Sometimes I do splits just so I can workout 'everyday' but I don't feel too good about it (EDIT: Never mind this, I didn't read you already split upper body and core&legs haha). Hahaha, great answers from Chris and Gligor. As Chris said, make sure you really burn those muscles out when it's that muscle groups day, ok? Also, doing splits like, push and pull on one day and legs and core the next really helps out, I only have one rest day a week so.............go figure! Hahaha
