Chris while i was doing calve raises i was turning my elbows out and locking them i felt some pain but didnt gave it much attention but after some weeks it became a problem i stooped doing them like that and i reduced training intensity i dont train till failure for the last 2 days but should i rest like for some days i dont know can you give me some suggestions pls i have gone through a lot of injuries i dont want to get another one should i ice it or something what you did when you have that ?
Look up the R.I.C.E method! Rest your elbow until it's gone!
I cant just reduce the intensity of my training cause i dont want to lose muscle or strength but i dont want to get it worse either?thanks for the suggestion ill look for it right now!!
Tell me what's worse? Losing a bit of muscle/strength in a few days and gain it back and train without pain, OR make it worse and not be able to train in a few months and lose tons of muscle. Do exercises that do not hurt you, when it starts hurting, stop. Good luck! Hopefully it's not a serious thing, I had elbow/forearm pain too, I kinda pushed through it when it didn't hurt, and of course rested when it did hurt (although I still worked out legs & core, and I could do most push exercises, but for pull it was sh*t). I also strengthened the forearm muscles, an exercise that might help you is put a rubber band (not the big ones for assistance/resistance, but the small ones used to hold multiple objects together if you know it) around your fingers and open the fingers, I did that everyday whenever I felt like it, and I can workout almost normally now. Although I don't know if it will work, hopefully it will.
The second one of course! But i know my body and whenever something hurts me i stopped doing the exersice that hurts me and just the pain goes away immediately but that time i didnt give much attention to the pain and it got worse i stopped doing the exersice that created the problem but the next workout i was felling more pain not only on the push exersices but on the pull too i dont fell pain on the wide dips so ill see what im gonna do tommorow that its my workout day.Im not going to do the same mistake that i did with my shoulder kept training when my tendons hurted and cost me 1 year to healed it and lots of rehab and lost all my muscles on my left arm and irebuild them again .A mistake its great only if you learn from it i have to see it as an opportunity to learn even more stuff!!Thanks guys!!
And i already workout my forearms really hard with bands
Good suggestions guys👍. It's something that has happened to all of us, Stav. Just rest for now(maybe a week or two) on the exercises that hurt; but keep working out on those that don't. Also, stop if the pain continues or returns. You really don't want a tennis elbow. Rest for some days and then start taking it slow again. Let us know how you feel when you start doing the exercises that used to hurt. Don't worry Bro, if you keep eating the same amount of food(protein and carbs) that you used to eat before, then you won't lose any muscle. Besides, you're not really not working out, you just take it down a few notches, slow it down a bit. Don't worry about losing muscle, worry about getting healthy. Be pacient and stay hungry Bro. Salute!
