hey there guys,
As you all know (from my intro) i have decided to drop the hammer after nearly 10 years without any form of excercise. at this point i have 8 workouts under my belt and still stuck at level 1 and 2 (i switch them to vary with the muscle groups).
i've noticed that i have a hard time with the pull and push exercises. i can now do the pull up hold for 4 reps (5 second hold) and 4 sets, where i couldn't hold myself for 1 second when i started out training *shame*.. i can do 4 sets of 6 australian pull ups with a last set of 7 till failure
With the push ups i started with knee assistance and could barely do 3 of them. currently i can do 3 normal push ups (in 4 sets). the fourth is always out of shape.
for the leg and core exercises i notice that i am fairly fit, i can do 4x20 squats and 3x 60 sec wall sit + 75 seconds wall sit to failure.
for the core and abs i have no problem at all.
i am wondering, is it wise to focus more on the upper body strength to be able to reach max reps/sets?
With 7 training routines done i expected to at least be at level 3..
any advice?
