Whats a good progression for planche that i can start working on? I really want to be able to do a planche soon, are there exercises i should do to work towards it and how often and when should i do them? thanks :)
A planche can take years to master and probably will. If you see someone doing a full planche, heck even a straddle, he probably has been practicing for a long time. Now I can't do the planche, but progressions are:
-Tuck planche hold
-Tuck planche push ups
-Advanced tuck planche hold
-Advanced tuck planche push ups
-One leg out planche hold
-One leg out planche push ups (?)
-Advanced one leg out planche hold (Where the tuck leg is not so tucked in, but rather like in the Advanced tuck hold)
-Straddle planche hold
-Straddle planche push ups
And if I'm not wrong, from there on you just bring your legs closer every time, and just keep trying the full planche.
Any exercise you want to learn, you should practice it before your actual sets & reps training.
