Hey guys, I have this thing I was wandering about. When im training legs its allways much harder and painfull and I can really feel "the burn" but this is not happening with the push pull and core. (Maybe a little bit in the core) I cant realy feel actual pain in my lats/ chest so I was just intrested to know what is the reason for that and if this happens to some of you as well. Thanks and salute
It happens sometimes, mind to muscle is extremely important though. Just really squeeze the muscles and feel them contracting. When you're doing push, squeeze/bring your hands inwards sort of if you know what I mean so you really use your chest, that's with various exercises. For the pull, pull down with your elbows on your sides and keep your back/shoulder blades retracted throughout the whole movement and just really try to feel the lats contracting. Watch Chris' video about Top 3 Pull Exercises about Lats, maybe you'll understand it better. About core, same thing, to really feel it, keep your abs/stomach inwards and flex the abs, so when you get to the top of the exercise (like crunch for example), it will be extremely squeezed and you will feel it. That's what helps me a lot, maybe someone else has different "techniques", wait for others to answer, like Daniel and Chris :)
Really nothing to add, great answer overall. But yeah, like Gligor said "mind to muscle". Watch Chris's video on YouTube about lats. It's awesome. Good luck!
Oh for some reason I can't edit. Make sure you do progress and do something that challenges, that way your muscles have more load. And do the negative portion of the exercises controlled, you don't want to just fasten it and fall down and do it quickly. Good luck bro :)
I assure you - if you actually do max when you're supposed to do max - you're gonna feel it.
If you feel like the legs part is harder for you than other parts, it might be because you are not as strong in your legs as you are in the other bodyparts! You just need to adjust the program after that.
