Hey jack, I think the best time to do your cardio is in the morning, before you eat your breakfast, its called fasting cardio. This method is good for burning fat because when your body dont have that much food in it, it will get the energy from the access fats in your body. You mean every second day? If so, yes, but don't do the actual push-ups in the burpees and instead of doing jumping lunges do jumping jacks or high knees again.
In other words, do the beginner instead of advanced.

Well it shouldn't be hard to find something that resembles a jumping rope. But if you can't find anything, just "imagine" that you are jumping rope. Do the same exercise and movement as you would jumping rope. Other than that, run without rest for 1 to 1.5 miles or do around 4-5 times Chris's fat-burning routine.
Mountain climbers is perfect abs/cardio exercise. You can do for instance a superset of high knees, plank, mountain climbers and 100m sprint ( like, one set would be every single exercise followed by another, without any rest between, then small rest between sets )

That's all relative my friend. Some people don't take a lot of time while others take a lot, it all depends on how you feel. The rest time seen on the pdf is the recommended type for all people. But it's really up to you. A good way to get the "correct" rest time is just simply feeling like you've recovered enough to do the next set, when you feel ready...........do it. It might be less time than reccomended, it might be more. Just don't take too much though! Hope I helped! Good luck!
