This may sound weird but i really want to know how masturbating affects workout, I've heard people saying that is bad because you lose testosterone which is important in building muscle...what is the role of testosterone, can anyone explain ??? Thanks for taking this post serious guys...
The role of testosterone to regulate sex drive (libido), bone mass, fat distribution, muscle mass and strength, and the production of red blood cells and sperm. It needs to be kept in your body in a decent amount so you can gain muscle ; high levels your body is better able to build muscle through muscle protein synthesis, listen to yourself if you want to lose some you can, most posts will tell you it's fine but you can have it as a habit which will lower your muscle gains because to build muscle you need high level of insulin and testosterone in your body, insulin regulates how the body uses and stores glucose and fat. So listen yourself you can still enjoy yourself but not to much. Then there's something called abstinence which your testosterone will be high for 7 days in a row if you're holding it, it will increase your testosterone levels but then after that it will decrease.Anyhow it's up to you just don't play with the joystick alot when you got a bar to play on. yehia already gave a good answer. after the masturbation your your t level drops, but i think not hard enough that you feel any difference. on the other hand, i read on the internet, that abstaining from masturbation for lets say more than one week will lead to a boost of your t levels of nearly 150%
However just a few words from my side, fitness is somehow important, but i personally think it should not influence things like this bro. hahah so funny writing about this in calisthenic untiy forum. if you want to enjoy than do it, if not than not. don't make to much stress about it. you do not masturbate with the thoughts in your mind "omg, will i lose to much testosteron, oh no masturbation until i reached level xy in chris workouts plan" no no no, i think that is definetly the wrong method dealing with this "problem". if you want to do it, do it.
Conclusion: eat the right nutrition, sleep well, rest enough, work hard, and do not make stress about masturbation (it is a good and somehow necesarry action for your body, it should be relaxing and not making your feel uncomfortable because you see it like a danger for you workout!!)
