This may sound like a stupid question but anyway, so basically every night i do a routine of 100 push ups, for example 20-15-20-15-20 ( in reps) and also i eat every night a bowl with milk and oat meal...my question is should i eat my oat meal before my push up routine or after ? Thanks :)
Eating and Workout
You should eat after a workout to repair your muscles (protein) a bit and restore the glycogen (carbs) you just lost off the muscles, so you get both with oatmeal and milk :)
Before a workout you can eat some carbs to have more energy but it's not always necessary in my opinion.
It's always necessary to have energy in your body before a workout, and after as well. Especially energy from carbs is crucial to have before a workout, and after working out it's crucial to get all the important nutrients to be able to recover.
Well yea, just sometimes I feel more energized without eating anything (of course I have already eaten my breakfast or even lunch and not fasted, I'm talking about pre-workout meal), rather than eating something, but I guess it's how your body works the best.
